"Kob Kun Kaa"

(“Thank you!” in Thai)

I just wanted to say a quick thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday. You all made my day :)

I had a nice birthday weekend. On Friday Andy worked at an English camp teaching English-based games to elementary students. The camp was about one and a half hours out of the city. He seemed to have really enjoyed it. I am jealous that he got to work with little kiddies. I miss teaching them! On Saturday we went shopping at a mall in an attempt to try and expand my work wardrobe. I bought a $10 pair of shoes and $3.50 dress amongst some other clothes and household goods. Gotta love the cost of stuff here. On Sunday morning (my birthday!), Andy and I attended mass at Assumption Cathedral again. I think that place will amaze me no matter how many times I end up seeing it. I spent the rest of the day relaxing and trying not to think about all the work I had to do. I went for my very first traditional Thai massage in the afternoon at a spa around the corner from our apartment. It was definitely an interesting experience. The guy who massaged me used not only used his hands but he also used his knees, feet, and elbows. Some of it was a bit painful, but overall I really enjoyed it. It cost a whopping $8.30 for an hour long massage. Andy had an hour long foot massage for about $6.60. The day ended with fresh homemade double chocolate cookies made by my one and only Andy. So nice.

Andy and I just got back from our first ever yoga class at the fitness studio in Metropark. The entire class was in Thai, but it was very easy to watch and follow along. I have a feeling we are going to become regulars (don't quote me on this). We paid a drop in rate of $3.30 for the hour long class. Now that I am relaxed and feeling rejuvenated, I need to get this work done! Does anyone feel like planning a high school drama class for me? You can also teach it tomorrow if you like.
